BAILDON Trinity Athletic lost 3-1 at Hartshead in Division One of the West Yorkshire League after surrendering a 1-0 lead.

Goalkeeper Mick Haran punted the ball down the field to Lee Matthews and he rounded the opposing keeper to open the scoring.

But Hartshead assumed control after the break and Haran admitted: "Our lack of fitness showed as Hartshead grabbed three second-half goals. But we came close when Andrew Radosevic saw his volley crash against the crossbar."

Field remain top of the Premier Division after their 3-1 win at Hunslet Club.

Fine finishes by Nick Doherty and Josh Milner gave Field a 2-0 interval lead and Aidan Day completed their scoring with a 25-yard shot that flew into the net.

Leeds pulled a goal back with 15 minutes remaining but it proved in vain.

Wyke Wanderers went to bottom side Bardsey and came away with a 3-1 victory – after falling behind in the fifth minute.

Wanderers pulled level when a fine cross from Kurt Pendlebury saw Karl Fawcett rise high to head the ball into the net.

Ian Horrocks chased a lost cause and crossed for Fawcett to score again with another header. Horrocks was then brought down in the penalty area and he netted from the spot-kick.

Midfielder Paolo Lewandowski was the pick of an impressive Wyke performance.

In the League Trophy Cup, Field Reserves thrashed Leeds Modernians Reserves 8-0.

Glyn Hirst lead the way with four goals and he was joined on the scoresheet by Matthew Hartley (2), Ben Baker and Adam Porter.

Wyke Wanderers Reserves bowed out of the competition following their 3-2 defeat to Ilkley Town Reserves.

Wanderers fell behind after only five minutes but they equalised against the run of play through Joe Sagar.

Ilkley scored straight from the restart and added to their lead after the break. Gary Lupton replied for Wyke but they could not find an equaliser to take the tie into extra time.
