Yorkshire Division Two: Keighley 29, Wath Upon Dearne 0

KEIGHLEY fought hard to contain a big Wath pack in an unremarkable first half.

They held a narrow lead at the break, courtesy of an early penalty goal by fly half Alex Brown, but cut loose in the second half, adding a further 26 points without reply.

As the heavy visitors' pack tired, Keighley’s superior fitness began to tell and they launched attacks from all parts of the field.

Skipper Will Armitage crossed twice, and further tries were added by Brown and winger Jake Hill, with Brown adding a conversion.

Their seventh successive win leaves them in second place in the table, having conceded only 32 points during this period, and a mere 51 points for the season - a record unmatched in all of the northern leagues.
