EAST End Park were previously unbeaten in the West Yorkshire League and had only conceded seven Division One goals.

However, visitors Baildon Trinity Athletic made a mockery of those statistics by winning 6-2.

Trinity took the lead after just ten minutes, when Darren Rands crossed into the box for left winger Andrew Radosevic to fire home emphatically, and the lead was doubled when Nick Wadsworth chipped the goalkeeper.

East End reduced the arrears before half-time and levelled straight after the break – but Baildon responded when Wadsworth tapped the ball into the net following a corner.

They then restored their two-goal lead when Lee Newall's 40-yard punt from the touchline looped over Park's keeper.

Lone striker and man of the match Lee Mathers scored the final two goals and team-mate Elliott Moody said: "The 6-2 scoreline was nothing more than we deserved.

"We will be looking to make it three wins in a row when we host Thornhill next Saturday."

Wyke Wanderers lost 3-1 against Beeston St Anthony's in the second round of the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup.

Joe Walshe opened the scoring for Wyke and they had several chances to increase their lead before Beeston equalised on half-time and then took the lead. Wanderers continued to look for an equaliser but were punished on the break.

Wyke secretary Dave Ryan said: "We gave a good display against the Premier Division leaders and Karl Fawcett was the pick from some fine performances."

Wanderers Reserves' involvement in the West Riding County FA Challenge Trophy did not extend beyond the second round either.

They trailed Pontefract Town 1-0 on the half-hour mark but hit back to lead 2-1 via a Michael Stowell penalty, after he was fouled in the area, and Craig Lupton, who scored from an excellent Jack Hartley corner just before half-time.

However, Wanderers conceded two goals in the second half as Town deservedly won 3-2.

The West Riding County FA Challenge Cup matches between Field and Skipton LMS, plus the Trophy tie between Field Reserves and Horsforth St Margaret's B, were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
