Thackley won 2-1 at Askern to book a home tie against AFC Emley in the Northern Under-19 Alliance League's Pat Rice League Cup
THACKLEY are through to face AFC Emley at Dennyfield in the next round of the Northern Under-19 Alliance League's Pat Rice League Cup after a 2-1 victory at Askern.
Jack Morrall and Kam Basi fired Thackley 2-0 ahead before their keeper Harrison Bywater saved a penalty, Askern only pulling a goal back late on.
Thackley manager James Bennett said: "Under-17 player Tom Storey gave a strong display on his debut, which added to the pleasant result, while Daniel Smithurst was our man of the match."
