WE all like to follow a winning team, even better if we can be on it. Soon we will be celebrating the birthday of the greatest team captain of all time. Jesus.
Even Pilot said, “behold your King”, John 19 v14.
Are you? Am I? a team member under the captaincy of Jesus, or just a team supporter. We MUST be on the team, Jesus spelt this out in John 3 v15. Jesus’ team is a spiritual team. He said you must (not you can if you like) be born of water and the Spirit, or you will not see the Kingdom of God. What if we are just supporters, believers, belief is not enough. The Bible says Demons believe, but they are still going to a lost eternity! We are warned in Rev 3 v16, to put it in modern terms. If we are only a supporter and not a team member we make God sick. It may be hard for a church goer to accept, but the Bible goes on to say God thinks more of a strong believer in the opposing team, than a lukewarm believer in his team.
Are you, am I, a true member of His team or just a supporter?
