SCOOTER-club members went full throttle to raise cash for charity.

The Cheeky Northern Monkeys club raised £2,000 at a rally in the summer.

Now members have split the money between two causes – Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands and the Royal British Legion.

A presentation took place at the Bay Horse in Oxenhope, where landlord Steve Pollitt is a scooter enthusiast.

The pub regularly hosts scooter and motorbiking events.

"Money raised in the past by the club has gone to Manorlands but this year it also wanted some of the proceeds to go to the Royal British Legion as two club members – Mark White and Steve Marshall – are ex-army and know how much the Legion does for former servicemen and women," said a spokesman.

Next year's club rally will take place at Colne and Nelson Rugby Club on June 3.
