SOUTH Craven people who this year will share their 90th birthday with the Queen are being invited to a special celebration.
Anyone born on April 21 or June 12, 1926, the Queen's actual and official birth dates, is invited with a guest to an event at Ripon Cathedral on June 12.
The event, being staged by the North Yorkshire Lieutenancy, is expected to be attended by 1,000 people.
There is also a free draw giving a person celebrating their 90th birthday at any time during the year the chance to take part.
"We see this as a key event of the year and hope that a wide cross-section of our communities will be represented – including these important 90-year-olds who have contributed so much throughout Her Majesty's reign," said a spokesman.
