THE owner of a historic Keighley building has been inspired by the property's recent role as the setting for a film to hire part of the building out as an events space.
As reported in the Keighley News last year, the makers of the film The Limehouse Golem shot a significant part of the production in Dalton Mill.
The film is a murder mystery set in the 19th century which has been adapted from a book by author Peter Ackroyd.
A spokesman for Bellissimo, the company currently renovating Dalton Mill, said: "After seeing the ground floor of the Genappe Mill area set up for The Limehouse Golem, we've decided to keep some of the set and hire the room out as events space.
"We've got a stage, balcony and bars in there, as well as some partitioning which creates cosy little spaces in the corridors.
"The atmospheric backdrop of the mill, and it's central location, make the space perfect for club nights, comedy shows and music events.
"It could also be a fantastic quirky venue for wedding receptions for couples wanting something a bit more edgy and quirky than the usual froth and flowers!
"The mill is obviously still available to hire for filming. Along with the stage set, the Limehouse Golem filming crew left part of the custom-built prison set, which creates some nice partitioning for events."
