ARCHAEOLOGISTS, a games designer and a vet visited a Keighley school to help raise the ambitions of pupils.

Worth Valley Primary School invited people from a range of professions to its recent Aspirations Day.

Pupils dressed up for the day, which was based around one of the school’s five core values, ‘high expectations’.

The children heard from a veterinary surgeon, archaeologists, a football scout, computer games designer, teacher, electrician, and a shift manager from confectionery firm Nestlé.

Rimah Aasim, head of the Bracken Bank school, said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and the visits.

“This was to raise awareness of different career choices that are available to them and to encourage the pupils to have high expectations for their future.”
