FIREFIGHTERS were called out to deal with a diesel spillage at Silsden this afternoon.
An Iveco LGV's diesel tank ruptured, leaking fuel across Bolton Road.
A crew from Keighley Fire Station, alerted to the incident at 1.40pm, plugged the hole in the tank and arranged for sand to be spread on the road.
"We believe something has been flicked up by a vehicle and that has caused the damage," said a spokesman.
There was some traffic congestion but the road remained open.
