A POPULAR annual holiday club is being staged again in Keighley.

The Easter venture provides a range of free activities for about 50 children from across the district.

And this year, hot meals will also be on offer.

Activities will take place between 9am and 3pm from March 29 to April 1, at Keighley Shared Church.

The event – now in its third year – is organised by X:site Keighley, run by local churches with support from the Scripture Union.

Spokesman Daniel Mosby said: "The theme this year is 'unstoppable' and children will learn about the power of God's love through stories, discussion, games and gunge.

"Children from all backgrounds are welcome and we encourage everyone to explore their faith and come to informed decisions about what they believe.

"In previous years we have provided lunch for some children as parents can struggle to put food on the table without free school meals, so we have decided to offer each child who attends a free hot meal."

The club – for youngsters aged from eight to school-year seven – will include a giant inflatable assault course, trips and sports and craft activities and entertainment from a live band.

Children can attend for all or some of the week.
