PLANS to redevelop Cononley Mill (Green's Mill) with a mixture of housing and industry are due to be unveiled in the village next week.

Skipton based developer, Candelisa, which bought the mill and surrounding land from the Green family last year, want to convert the mill to apartments.

More housing and business premises are also planned for behind the mill in Cononley Lane.

Candelisa managing director, Guy Taylor, said “We are looking forward to sharing our plans for Cononley Mill with the local community.

"We believe our proposal will make a positive contribution to the village.”

When Candelisa first bought the site, it discussed providing a pedestrian route to the village, saving people from being delayed at the railway crossing.

The site is earmarked for development in the emerging Craven Local Plan and is the preferred site of the parish council.

The drop-in session will take place at Cononley Institute on Monday, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
