STUDENTS from Oakbank School had their skills put to the test in an event at Keighley College.
The 41 year-nine pupils took part in a First Edition STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths – day.
And an Oakbank team was overall winner.
Challenges included designing and building a bridge and a vehicle to cross it, constructing a helipad tower using just paper and glue and producing a glider.
"The day was an opportunity for pupils to look at the range of careers in engineering and try some hands-on activities – it was a great success," said an Oakbank spokesman.
