AFTER all of Sunday's Quaid-e-Azam League matches were cancelled due to the wet wickets, all of the preliminary-round matches that started the following day in the Yasmin & Shaid Solicitors Cup were reduced in overs.

The big upset came in the game when Karmand defeated Whiterose by eight wickets.

Whiterose were dismissed for 131 before Karmand’s Adal Islam and Sajad Ali both made 50 to help their club into the first round, where they will host 2015 runners-up Keighley RZM.

Flix were also heading for a shock defeat when they were 31-8 in the 12th over against Al-Minarah, only for Bilal Khan to hit 107 not out to take them to 206 after 30 overs, Al-Minarah then being dismissed for 95.

Flix will now play Bhalot or Kings XI.

Earlmarshall had a 64-run win over Punjab, thanks to Will Herrington (88), and they will next face last year's Shield winners Friends, who defeated Kashmir Bradford by 36 runs.

Raja beat Central Leeds by six wickets and now play TABS, who defeated Shaheen by 29 runs.

The derby between Bradford Moor and Bradford Royals was one-sided, Bradford Royals being shot out for 78 chasing a target of 110.

Moor now face Diamond, who had a one-wicket win against My Lahore, while Bhalot Strikers beat Rising Stars by four wickets and will meet the winners of Patriots and Yorkshire Lions.

Heaton Park comfortably beat Indus Ghari, scoring 126 in 25 overs before dismissing them for just 57.
