CARLETON clinched promotion from Division Two after they came from 2-0 down to draw their showdown with rivals Polonia 2-2.

Victory for the Keighley side would have seen them leapfrog their hosts but a point means the Skipton outfit can't be caught in second place, due to their vastly superior goal difference compared with third-placed Manningham All Stars.

In fact, the Ramper Park side will clinch the title if they win at Settle United Reserves on Saturday.

Ashley Purnell and Ben Teal were on target against Polonia, after Michal Skowron and Pizemyslaw Witch had put the visitors ahead.

Settle have finished third in the Premier Division following a 2-2 draw at Grassington United, Mark Louglin and sub Elliot Firth on target for the visitors, while Jeremy Gee and Jan Ozdoba registered for the hosts.

Cowling occupy the second promotion spot in Division One, winning their last match 2-1 at Skipton Town, two points ahead of Sporting Keighley, who drew their final game 1-1 at Embsay, Habib Aslam scoring for the visitors.

However, Sporting are awaiting a verdict on their abandoned match with Ingrow, in which they were winning 3-1.

Chris Lumsden bagged two goals as Cononley Sports Reserves won 4-2 at Salts, Craig Ebbrell and Miroslav Allen also finding the target.
