SHELF had three ducks and conceded a hat-trick to Isaac Baldwin (3-97) but still made almost 400 runs in their Spenser Wilson Halifax League Division Two match at Luddendenfoot.

Sadiq Hyder Ali (106no, seven fours, seven sixes) and Babar Nawaz Malik (88no, six fours, eight sixes) put on 190 unbroken for Shelf's sixth wicket in their 394-6.

Craig Green (68), Billy Sugden (55) and Leigh Butterfield (47) had helped the score to 204-2 before Baldwin struck.

Luddendenfoot were never at the races after tea, Robert Ramsden's 7-38 also including a hat-trick as they were castled for 84, giving third-placed Shelf victory by 310 runs.

Both sides were in the runs when Denholme Clough visited leaders Cullingworth, with the away side making 274-9, Asad Mukhtar leading the way with 66, Tanveer Aslam scoring 44 and Imran Aslam, Mohammed Asif and No 10 Waqas Ali all contributing 35s, with Ali's being undefeated.

Opener Ben Burkill scored 64 but Cullingworth went from 91-1 to 110-6 before being revived by a seventh wicket partnership of 140 between Graham Rankin (88) and Jon Terry (60), only to finish nine runs short of victory.

Tanweer Aslam took 5-88 to hand Cullingworth their first defeat of the season, although they remain top as Clough climbed to fourth.

Joe Brown hit 53 for Clayton in their 205 but they were no match for Bradshaw, who won by eight wickets.

Hosts Sowerby St Peter’s rallied from 54-7 to 151 against Jer Lane in the Premier Division as Nasir Chowdrey took 4-51, Matthew Johnson 3-31 and Simon Collins 3-39.

Leaders Jer were 129-7 but were taken to a three-wicket victory by Chowdrey's 42 not out after he added 70 for the fourth wicket with Collins (40).

Thornton were hammered at Warley, who made 313-7 before dismissing the visitors for 82, Greg Soames (3-62 and 20) doing best with bat and ball for the losers.

Opener Jamie Priestley (86no) was the key figure for Queensbury, who chased down Oxenhope's 162 to win by five wickets in Division One.

Low Moor made 59 (Stuart Fenton 6-30, Richard Winn 3-18) at Great Horton Park Chapel, and lost by eight wickets
