A LONDON-based Christian Science healing practitioner is giving a talk in Keighley.

Modern mathematics graduate, Tony Lobl, will speak about Prayer That Transforms Us, at Central Hall in Alice Street on June 11.

The 3pm talk is being sponsored by members of Keighley's Christian Science Society. Admission is free.

"The talk will explore how the Christian Science approach to prayer not only makes us feel better about ourselves but can also bring tangible change to our circumstances, including our wellbeing," said Mr Lobl.

"I will share several examples from my life that illustrate this point."

Following university, Mr Lobl took on various freelance media roles, and for the past two decades has served as media and legislative liaison for his church.

He is also a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship, and addresses events at home and abroad about prayer-based healing.
