The hosts collapsed to 7-4 before a sixth-wicket partnership of 69 by Michael Scarborough (34) and Adam Smith (47), and a last-wicket stand of 41 by Lewis Wrathall (23no) and Joel Fothergill (18no), got them to 151-9 in their 40 overs.

The Saints built on a first-wicket partnership of 107 by Imran Zaman (68) and Deepal Dissanayake (46) to storm to 155-3 in the 21st over.

Sam Porter (66) and Danny Pearson, who retired with cramp when on 40, led the successful reply as Majid Iqbal claimed 3-39, with the winning margin being four wickets.

Third-round draw: Wilsden v Gargrave, Sutton v Ingrow or Bradley, Ingrow St John’s v Bingley Congs, Crossflatts v Embsay.
