DIVISION One leaders Haworth chose a poor time for their batsmen to fail in the Mewies Solicitors Craven League.

They dismissed hosts Crossflatts for 143, of which Austin Smith made 32 and Vikram Bakshi 31 as Damian Rowell claimed 5-29.

The Bronte side were out of sorts, however, and slumped to 127, despite 40 from Jamie Rowell and 26 from Adam Bailey.

Bingley Congs are the new front-runners after they defeated Haworth Road by three wickets at Beckfoot Lane.

The visitors posted 148-8 as Mohammad Adil took 3-36, and Sam Porter (41) and Neil Copping (31) led the successful reply.

Ingrow St John’s blasted 279-6 at home to Foulridge, with Ronnie Chokunuga (96no) and Imran Zaman (49) being the main run-getters, and the Noyna side could only manage 120 in reply.

Ryan Ridehalgh (59) and Sam Solley (31) then led the Royd Hill side to a comfortable four-wicket victory, while visitors Cowling were back in the hut for 107 at Shires Lane, with Embsay striding to a seven-wicket win.

Hepworth & Idle are at the head of the Division Two table on run rate after beating former leaders Wilsden by 64 runs at Windy Grove.

The home side made 146 as Caspar Bean took 4-25 and Vince Grant 4-13, while, in the reply of 144-9, Neil Andrews made 38 and Matt Buckmaster 32.

Barrowford blasted 289-6 at Bull Holme, and visitors Ingrow St John’s II were down and out before No 10 Fawad Hussain decided to have some fun.

He thumped 91, to go with Qaisir Khaksar’s 21 not out, to help the innings close on 213.

Airedale’s Mathew Cox was in the runs again with 70 as they posted 188, with Tom Bradley taking 5-30.

Ingrow opener Ben Bright then made 37 of their 104 as Sajaad Khan claimed 4-16 and Saqid Javaid 3-34.

There was great drama at Park Field, where Glusburn beat Oakworth II by one wicket off the last ball of the game. The Cure Hill side made a creditable 238, with Sam Nettleton scoring 56, Drew Duffy 48 and Alan Fothergill 45. The hosts' reply was led by Steve Brown (50), assisted by James Tillotson (37), Mark Johnston (35) and Mark Pickles (32), with Jack Ellis taking 5-72.
