POOR batting has contributed to Haworth losing the Division One leadership in the Mewies Solicitors Craven League.

They dismissed hosts Crossflatts for 143, of which Austin Smith made 32 and Vikram Bakshi 31 as Damian Rowell claimed 5-29.

However, the Bronte side slumped to 127, despite 40 from Jamie Rowell and 26 from Adam Bailey.

Bingley Congs are the new leaders after they defeated Haworth Road by three wickets at Beckfoot Lane.

The visitors posted 148-8, with Will Forrest top-scoring with 36 as Mohammad Adil took 3-36.

Sam Porter (41) and Neil Copping (31) led the successful reply.

Ingrow St John’s entertained Foulridge and blasted 279-6, with Ronnie Chokunuga (96no) and Imran Zaman (49) being the main run-getters, and the Noyna side could only manage 120 after tea.

Ehsan Khan top-scored with 62 not out as Riddlesden made 168-9 at home to Sutton, for whom Chris Walker took 4-42.

The in-form Ryan Ridehalgh (59) and Sam Solley (31) then led the Royd Hill side to a four-wicket victory.

Haroon Ali (5-28) and Sam Arkwright (3-31) had visitors Cowling back in the hut for 107, Dave Wellock then making 65 not out as Embsay strode to an eight-wicket win.

Oakworth entertained Denholme and dismissed them for 102, Richard Taylor (37) and Matt Wear (36no) scoring the majority of the runs as Joel Fothergill (5-14) turned in another good performance with ball.

The Cure Hill side quickly found themselves at 6-3 and struggled from there on in, falling seven runs short of their target, with Luke Pickles taking 4-15 and Isaac Murray 3-21.

Hepworth & Idle are the new Division Two leaders – on run rate – after they beat former leaders Wilsden by 64 runs at Windy Grove.

The Westfield Laners made 165, with Simon McDermott 36 leading the way as Dipesh Mistry took 6-46.

But only Chris Mitchell (50) then offered much resistance as Dave Matthews (4-40) and Matthew Buchan (4-45) did the damage.

Haworth Road II slipped into second after a two-run victory over visitors Bradley.

Kristian Harrison (42) and Samir Butt (35no) added 64 for the seventh wicket, which helped the Baildon Bottom club to 146 as Caspar Bean took 4-25 and Vince Grant 4-13.

In the reply of 144-9, Neil Andrews made 38 and Matt Buckmaster 32 as Ali Asguar (4-43) and Joe Jagger (3-32) did the damage with the ball.

Barrowford blasted 289-6 at Bull Holme, and Ingrow St John’s II were down and out before No 10 Fawad Hussain decided to have some fun, thumping 91 to go with Qaisir Khaksar’s 21 not out to help the innings close on 213.

Airedale’s Mathew Cox was in the runs again with 70 as they posted 188, with Tom Bradley taking 5-30, before Ingrow opener Ben Bright made 37 of their 104 as Sajaad Khan claimed 4-16 and Saqid Javaid 3-34.

There was drama aplenty at Park Field, where Glusburn beat Oakworth II by one wicket off the last ball of the game.

The Cure Hill side made a creditable 238, with Sam Nettleton scoring 56, Drew Duffy 48 and Alan Fothergill 45. The hosts' reply was led by Steve Brown (50), assisted by James Tillotson (37), Mark Johnston (35) and Mark Pickles (32), with Jack Ellis taking 5-72.

Long Lee retained the Division Three leadership, despite going down by one wicket at home to Cononley.

The Golden View side made 222-7, with new recruit Lee Crowther hitting 72 and Lee Humphreys 66 as Herbie Starkey took 4-65.

Andrew Starkey (93) led the South Craveners' successful reply, assisted by Joel Grainger (55) as Jamie Robinson claimed 5-34 and Shahbaz Ahmed 3-55, with the winning hit coming with just two balls to spare.

In a seesaw game at Greenwood Park, second-placed Sandy Lane just managed to hold off the challenge of Riddlesden II by 12 runs.

Skipton CI are third after they chased down Embsay’s 213-5 to win by four wickets with 5.3 overs to spare.

Tom Robinson, who is only 17, made 61 and veteran Brian Hodgson 61 not out at the Shires Laners batted first. Then Martin Chisnall (67) and Sean Williamson (62no) led the Sandylands side to the points.

Will Smith (5-17) and Ben Rhodes (5-20) had Crossflatts II back in the pavilion for 74 at Ryshworth Park, visitors Gargrave galloping to a nine-wicket victory.

Denholme made 131 at home to Eldwick & Gilstead, with Michael Dennison making 62 as Michael Narey took 3-8 and Arnie Raistrick 3-17.

The visitors knocked the runs off for the loss of six wickets, with Chris Child scoring 63.

Bradford & Bingley III’s Mohammed Hussain took a fantastic 8-6 off 6.1 overs to send visitors Bingley Congs II tumbling to 61 all out.

The hosts then lost eight wickets reaching their target as Jimmy Dennison took 5-15 and Jamie Teale 3-17.

In Division Four and Five, Foulridge II retained the leadership, despite going down by seven wickets in their derby with Barrowford II at Noyna.

Sandy Lane II thumped 294-7 in Bronteland, with No 6 Zeesham Ali scoring a superb 142 and Muhammad Ulfat 42. Haworth replied with 175, with Danny Spencer making 43.

At Westfield Lane, Hepworth & Idle II posted 133 as Josh Banks took 5-58 and Rummy Smith 3-56.

Glusburn II then got home by three wickets, thanks to a seventh-wicket partnership of 74 by Alan Coney (68no) and Paul McCullough (31no).

Cononley II scored an impressive nine-wicket victory over visitors Wilsden II, with Sam Birks (72no), Paul Hogg (6-29) and Matt Phillips (3-20) being their stars.

Cowling II denied Bingley Congs III their first victory of the season, opener Bill Marshall scoring 50 not out for the losers, who lost by one wicket for the second successive week.

Skipton CI won by three wickets at Ingrow II, while Sutton II beat Ingrow II by five wickets.

Chatburn II conceded their game to Oakworth III.
