THREE teams – Denholme, Salem Athletic and Omars – share top spot in Division One of the Bradford Evening League.

Salem Athletic hit 16 sixes as they posted 168-4 from 16 overs at leaders Denholme thanks to skipper Mohammed Siraj (55no), Majid Khan (34) and S Khan (33).

Denholme were 74-2 (Devon Pollock 48) in response but lost five wickets for 13 and finished on 130-9 (Khalid Usman 3-27).

The batsmen were on top at Park Avenue, with Omars (134-1 – Shmile Khan 53no, Yunis Bismillah 32no, M Bilal 29) overtaking Stonewhite's 130-5 (Mohammed Shahnawaz 36, Gulsheraz Ahmed 32).

Great Horton Park Chapel are still searching for their first win. Chasing Mayfield's 168-4 (M Ahmed 53no, Manzar Shah 50no, Waseem Chaudhry 4-8), Park Chapel scored 153-4 (Blake Glenn 52no, Darren Wilson 50no, Chris Brown 26no, Zahid Khaliq 3-36).

The closest finish of the day was at Thornton as the home side lost by one run to Shelf, who had posted 98-7 (Bilal Abbas 50no). In reply, S Khan took 3-26 as Thornton ended on 97-8 (Ross Soames 27).

Division Two leaders Greenfield maintained their unbeaten record with an eight-wicket win over Cambing, who posted 107-8 thanks to 52 from No 8 Mohammed Sohail, Yasir Ali taking 5-13. Greenfield replied with 108-2 (Adeel Ahmed 50no) in 10.2 overs.

At the other end of the table, Yorkshire LPS recorded their first win of the season against John Breare, passing their 93-8 (Narendra Patel 3-15) with four wickets and one ball to spare thanks to Ankit Patel (45no) and Tahir Abbas (34).

West Bowling also recorded a first victory thanks to a fine performance from new boy Ahsan Alishan (4-9 and 40no) as Bradshaw were beaten by four wickets.

Kevin McDermott continued his fine batting form with another 52 not out to help Hepworth & Idle to a six-wicket win over Daisy Hill with four balls to spare.
