A PAIR of students from Keighley have been rewarded for their dedication to learning.

Wayne Caswell and Robert Shaw, who both study at Keighley College, were presented with accolades at this year's Leeds City College Award Ceremony.

The well attended occasion showcased the talents of the students, while recognising their hard work and contribution to learning during the 2015/16 academic year.

Family members and college tutors were also invited to the presentation.

Winners accepted their awards on stage, accompanied by Shaid Mahmood, chairman of the board of governors at Leeds City College, and guest of honour Ruth Whiteley, a former contestant on BBC TV show The Apprentice.

Guests also enjoyed performances from some of the college's own creative arts students and an appearance from singer Faheem Ashraf, who took part in BBC TV contest The Voice.

Wayne won the prize for IT and Business Student Of The Year, while Robert picked up the award for Level 2 Warehouse Student Of The Year.
