A RING donated by a Keighley jeweller has raised £1,200 in a charity auction.
Liam McQuaid, of Raffles in the Airedale Shopping Centre, gave the 18-carat white gold diamond solitaire to be sold at the annual Martin House Children's Hospice glitter ball.
The auction also included a signed, Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United shirt donated by Raffles customer, Carolyn Holmes, which raised £500.
Mr McQuaid and his wife Anna are community ambassadors at the Boston Spa hospice.
They began raising money for the cause after their son, Niall, died at Martin House, aged just seven weeks, in 2006.
The total raised so far now exceeds £30,000.
"I'm delighted we have topped the £30,000 mark," said Mr McQuaid.
"When we started fundraising, I never imagined for one moment we would reach that kind of amount.
"We will be carrying on with raising funds for what is an incredible cause."
