A KEIGHLEY-based professional photographer, who won silver at an international contest earlier this year, has again caught the eye of judges at another competition.
Zaroon Tabassum, from Lawkholme, won a silver award for one of the images he submitted to this year's Wedding and Portrait Photographers International awards.
He was told last week his same photo – an atmospheric image he took of a woman in Pakistan making chapatis over an open fire – has picked up an 'Honourable Mention' in the Moscow International Foto Awards (MIFA).
He had submitted the photograph for the contest's People and Culture category several weeks ago.
Mr Tabassum, 34, said he was delighted to see his work gain further recognition.
"This has encouraged me to produce something even better, so I can win first place in future awards," he added.
"This July, I'm doing a photo shoot in the Lake District based on an historic Punjabi love story called Sohni Mahiwal. I'm fascinated about this tale, and it revolves around water, so, of course, the Lakes is an ideal place to do the shoot.
"Once I've taken those photos, I'll be entering them into two different photo competitions."
Mr Tabassum set up his own business – Zaroon Tabassum Photography – more than four years ago, specialising in wedding, portrait and fashion-related photographs.
He intends to open a permanent studio for his business in Caledonia Road, Keighley, in August.
