STONEWHITE have been suspended from the Bradford & District Evening League for the rest of the season due to disciplinary issues.

The club, who use Keighley Cricket Club for their home matches, were Division Two runners-up last season and were third from bottom in Division One before their results were expunged.

Meanwhile, not for the first time this season, the weather forced the abandonment of all last week's games in the league without a ball being bowled.

With only four weeks to go in Division One, just two points (one win) separate the top five teams.

Denholme, Mayfield and Omars share top spot with 11 points, while Salem Athletic are on ten and Shelf on nine but both have a game in hand on the three leaders.

There is then a four-point gap to a Thornton side battling to avoid the wooden spoon with Great Horton Park Chapel, who are on three points but with a game in hand.

Division Two has five weeks left and unbeaten Greenfield, on 16 points, have opened up a four-point lead on Ciroc.

Even though Ciroc have a game in hand, the gap will be hard to close as the two teams do not have to meet each other again this season.

At the other end of the table, Cambing and Daisy Hill are both still looking to record their first victories of the campaign.

Their best chance is on July 20, when they play each other – unless, of course, it is rained off.

Clubs are reminded that the deadline for player registrations and transfers was last Thursday.
