CROSSFLATTS II edged into the Cowling Cup semi-finals after a thrilling last-over win at home to Sandy Lane II.

After being put into bat, Flatts reached 117-9 in their 20 overs, with James Baxter making 53 as Ashah Rizwah took 3-15.

Sachin Jadhav (32) and Zeeshan Aslam (29) kept the Greenwood Park side in the hunt and the final over was reached with four needed for victory by the last pair.

A tight over from Charlie Hall restricted Lane to just two as Flatts won by two runs, Kieran Temprill taking 4-24 for the winners.

Flatts will visit Bingley Congs II in the last four after an eighth-wicket partnership by Steve Carass (27no) and Matthew Brian (23no) helped them to 115-8 at home to Wilsden II (Ehsan Younas 4-18).

The visitors only managed 62-9 in reply as Jonny Teale claimed 4-46.

Cowling II made 126-7 in their win at home to Glusburn II. Mark Adams (27) led the way as Alan Coney took 3-22.

The Park Field side managed 105-4 in reply, with Dominic Mortimer scoring 31 not out as the hosts bowled tightly.

Cowling II will visit Denholme II in the semis after the latter side restricted hosts Haworth to 63 in 16.2 overs.

Skipper Neil Rollins (19) top-scored as Adie Shire (3-11) and Tim Shires (3-18) did most of the damage.

The visitors got home by five wickets in 12.2 overs as Joe Greenwood led the way by making 29.

The semi-finals are due to be played on Sunday, July 24.
