CLOSEST finish of the night in the Bradford & District Evening League came at Park Avenue, where visitors Salem Athletic overcame Omars by one run.

Salem recovered from 16-4 in the Division One contest but still posted a below-par 91-9 from their 16 overs (Mohammed Pandor 4-19).

At 88-5, Omars looked on course for victory but they faltered to 90-8 two after run-outs.

Denholme struggled to 115-5 at Great Horton Park Chapel (Danny Bailey 43no, Richard Wear 37) but tight bowling and good fielding from the young side restricted the hosts to 86-8 (Blake Glen 22, Chris Brown 22).

Mayfield shot out a below-strength Shelf for 64, despite the best efforts of Hamza Iqbal (38), with the ever-reliable Mussaver Shah taking 3-11.

Manzar Shah's 35 not out then saw Mayfield take just 10.4 overs to secure victory as they made 65-2.

Performance of the day in Division Two came from Bradshaw's Josh Gledhill, who took 5-16 – including a hat-trick – to help dismiss Cambing for 93.

Bradshaw had earlier made 105, with Connor Ryan top-scoring on 32.

Daisy Hill recorded their first win of the season at home to John Breare.

Ian Clayton's 4-7 helped Daisy Hill restrict the visitors to 71 all out from 16 overs and Daisy replied with 72-4, thanks largely to 39 not out from Divyang Patel.

Ciroc and Hepworth & Idle were awarded wins as Yorkshire LPS and West Bowling were unable to raise teams.
