POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist died on the road between Oxenhope and Hebden Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
There was a collision between a cyclist travelling towards Hebden Bridge on Keighley Road, and a Vauxhall Zafira travelling in the opposite direction collided between Hebden Bridge and Peckett Well.
The cyclist, a 32-year-old man from Rochdale, died at the scene of the 1.15pm incident.
Two other male cyclists travelling along Keighley Road with the man were uninjured.
A further cyclist collided with a Peugeot Van that had stopped to help. He was taken to hospital for treatment. The incidents are being investigated separately.
Sergeant Matt Tunney of the Major Collision Enquiry Team said; "I would appeal to anyone who was travelling around the area on Sunday afternoon who may have seen either the cyclists, or the vehicle prior to the incident or anyone who witnessed the collision itself to come forward. Enquiries are ongoing."
Anyone with information should contact MCET via 101 quoting 889 of July 17.
