THREE Bradford Mutual Sunday School League clubs have won through to the Bradford & District Evening League finals day at Great Horton Park Chapel on Monday.

The first semi-final is at 11am, with Division Two champions Greenfield taking on Division One runners-up Mayfield in an all-Mutual clash.

Mayfield will be hoping for big games from their league batting and bowling award winners Manzar Shah and Musawar Shah from Girlington, while Greenfield have Division Two batting award winner Sajad Ali (Bilton) and Collingham's overseas player Atif Zaidi in their ranks.

The second semi-final, starting at about 1.30pm, will feature Division One champions Salem Athletic against Division Two runners-up Ciroc, who are the only non-Mutual club involved.

This could prove the game of the day, with both teams having lost only one match during the regular season.

Salem Athletic, led by Mohammed Siraj, are largely based on their Saturday team plus the odd addition from the Bradford League, such as Osama Ahmed of Farsley, but will rely heavily on all-rounder Khalid Usman.

Ciroc, on the other hand, are packed with Bradford League players such as Fahid Rehman, Awais Ejaz, Tuseif Arshad (all East Bierley) and Kez Ahmed (Woodlands), as well as the experienced Mushy Shah from Bilton.

The final, on what promises to be an explosive day of action, will start at about 4.30pm.

Great Horton Park Chapel should have held last year's finals day, only for it to be washed out.

Entrance is free and umpiring duties, at what is the league's main find-raiser, will be shared by Alan Parkinson, David Wilson and Rajesh Verma.
