CROSSFLATTS are the new front-runners in the Craven League top flight with three games to go.

Long-time leaders Bingley Congs slipped up at home to Haworth and the Ryshworth Park side leapfrogged them with victory over Cowling.

On a tough day for batting in wet weather, Banaras Hussain top scored with 24 as the visitors from south Craven made 111, with Jim O'Hara taking 3-12. Austin Smith (51no) and Qamar Ayub (27no) steered home side Crossflatts to the points.

Congs were knocked over for 87 as Damian Rowell took 3-13 before Haworth cruised home by six wickets, with Gary Binns (25no) and Aaron Putko (13no) taking them to the line.

Embsay are in third spot after they bowled out visitors Haworth Road for just 45, with Haroon Ali taking 8-26. The Shires Lane side lost four wickets reaching their target.

Oakworth are fourth after seeing off Sutton by seven wickets at Cure Hill.

The Royd Hill side slumped from 142-4 to 163 all out thanks to Jack Davison (4-28) and Michael Davison (3-20) as Chris Williams and Sam Solley both made 42.

Gareth Marshall (78, including ten fours and four sixes) and Ben Howell (43) saw the home side to the winning post.

Denholme's visit to Ingrow St John's proved fruitful as they won by 22 runs.

The Bradford Road side notched 180 (Cameron Foster 43no, Ryan Judson 30) as Nadeem Zaman took 5-42.

Despite 64 from Nadeem Saftar and 63 by Imran Zaman, Saints were all out for 158 thanks to Toby Priestley (4-22) and Matt Wear (3-54).

Foulridge dismissed visitors Riddlesden for 91 as Mohammad Shahnawaz scored 49 – but the Noyna side slipped to an 18-run defeat as Mohammad Zulfiqar (6-31) and Shahnawaz (3-13) did the damage. That defeat sends Foulridge down to the second tier.

Third-placed Wilsden were left frustrated as their Division Two game at home to Oakworth II was abandoned because of bad light at 8.10pm, with the hosts wanting just six runs to win and 5.3 overs to go.

Nivard Trowers (69 off 64 balls) and Sam Nettleton (56) had helped the Cure Hill side to 216 all out. In Wilsden's reply of 211-6, Steve Wright scored 76 and Umar Malik 39 not out.

Hepworth & Idle missed out on confirming promotion as they went down by eight wickets at Barrowford, who moved into second spot on run rate.

Haworth Road II slip to fourth after an 81-run defeat at home to Ingrow.

The Hainworth side plundered 234-6 on the back of an opening stand of 159 by Mark Price (84) and Jake Hoyle (79), together with 40 not out from Dan Scott.

Andrew Morley (38) top-scored in the Baildon Bottom side's 153, with Hoyle taking 6-57.

Bradley's flirtation with relegation continues after they went down by 40 runs at Chatburn.

Andy Holmes (5-47) and James Heseltine (4-23) helped to restrict the Ribble Valley outfit to 127 but the Matthew Lane side out were all out for just 87.
