POLICE have renewed an appeal for help to find Leanne Walker, from Glusburn who has now been missing for more than 24 hours.

Inspector Dave Murray said: "Extensive enquiries are continuing today and we are doing everything we can to find Leanne.

"However, we're growing increasingly concerned for Leanne's welfare and need anyone with information that could help us trace her to get in touch immediately."

The 36-year-old was last seen by her family at around midnight on Wednesday and it is believed she is in a distressed and vulnerable state. Extensive police enquiries took place overnight and on Thursday and are continuing today. To help the effort to find Leanne, people are being urged to keep an eye out for her and report any information to the police without delay.

She is described as white, aged 36, 5ft 5in tall, with long dark-coloured hair and a slim build. She was wearing a light denim jacket with a white shirt underneath, white jeans and Converse-type trainers.
