Wharfedale Triangle League
Keighley Athletic 4 Cullingworth Youth 3
Cullingworth were not up to their usual standard yet still scored three goals in a thriller, with the result in doubt until the final whistle.
Youth took the lead in the tenth minute when their man of the match Ben Chrispin put through a great pass for Sam Fox to find the net. However, instead of being galvanised, the visitors allowed Athletic to take control and they went in 2-1 up at the break.
Cullingworth improved in the second half, captain Harry Holmes going clean through Athletic’s defence to level the score.
Athletic regained the lead but Chrispin levelled again with a great goal five minutes later.
It looked it would earn them a point but a defensive mix-up saw Keighley claim a winner.
Youth have no game on Sunday.
