ONLY limited funds are currently available for road improvement works in Oxenhope, according to a warning given to parish councillors.
Worth Valley Ward Councillor Russell Brown said his ward – which includes Oxenhope – has not had new resources put towards it for a road accident reduction strategy.
But he added that there is still a small budget for improving sightlines at potentially hazardous bends and corners. He invited parish councillors to contact him if they have concerns about particular locations in Oxenhope.
Responding during last week's (Oct 12) meeting of Oxenhope Parish Council, Cllr David Ashcroft said workers had been out several times to put down preparatory markings in Jew Lane, prior to surface improvement work required for this road.
However, he said although the workers had been out three separate times to apply the markings, there was still no sign of the work actually beginning.
"We were told originally that it would start on September 1, but nothing has happened since then," he added.
Cllr Brown said he would try and find out the start date from Bradford Council.
