A KEIGHLEY woman is still in contention for a £100,000 prize on a national television show.

Anna May, 25, from Riddlesden, has been on the run on Channel 4's "Hunted", a programme which challenges 10 fugitives to stay at large for 28 days.

The latest episode screened last night (Oct 20) saw Anna and her friend Elizabeth Garnett, who is from Yeadon, continue their hitchhiking odyssey around Great Britain, determined not to stay in one place for too long in order to throw the team tasked with catching them off the scent.

The pair were shown travelling around Somerset, Warwickshire and the Yorkshire Dales, taking a brief break in Buckden, North Yorkshire, then moving on before their trackers could catch up.

They managed to remain at liberty despite the hunters putting a tracking device on Anna's mum's car and successfully hacking into the Facebook account of one of their Yorkshire-based helpers.

Anna, who works as an administrative assistant, auditioned to be a contestant in series two of Hunted earlier this year.

The 10 fugitives operate alone or in teams of two and are hunted by a team of experts with experience in security, surveillance, and hacking into computer and phone networks.

Anna, Elizabeth and two other people are the only four remaining contestants who have not yet been captured on the show.

Episode six of the latest series of Hunted is on Channel 4 at 9pm next Thursday. (Oct 27)
