LOCAL favourites Plumhall venture to Appletreewick to perform during the latest season at the Cruck Barn.

The acoustic duo, regular performers at Haworth venues, will play the barn, at the Craven Arms, on Sunday, November 6.

The globe-trotting, award-winning duo consist of Michelle Plum, who formerly performed with Chumbawamba and the Chris Norman Band, and Nick Hall, from the Hall Brothers and Magna Carta.

They will support the duo of Jon Sevink, legendary fiddle player from the Levellers, and Dan Donnelly, the singer-songwriter and guitarist from The Wonder Stuff.

The duo are making their third visit to the Cruck Barn by popular demand, playing songs from both their back catalogues.

A spokesman said: “This will be an evening to remember – starting earlier than normal so people can get home!”

Nick played the Cruck Barn earlier this month as part of acoustic rockers the Hall Brothers as the band and John Carey celebrated their 25th anniversary.

The next Cruck Barn gig will be November 18, with a special evening of music from the Transalpine Troubadours, singer-songwriter Des Horsfall with Tim O’Connor, playing beautiful, original Celtic music with a twist. Nick will provide support as a solo artist.

Plumhall are back at the venue on December to support Liverpool singer-songwriter Ian McNabb, the singer and guitarist with chart band The Icicle Works, who was nominated for the Mercury Prize for his solo album Head Like A Rock
