Yorkshire Division One: Keighley 26 Old Brodleians 21
KEIGHLEY survived a late rally by second-placed Old Brodleians to record a well-deserved win.
The hosts led 18-7 at half-time after tries by Alex Brown and Jack Atkinson, with Brown adding a conversion and two penalty goals.
In between, Dom Georgiou touched down for Brods, with Oliver Akroyd converting.
Early in the second half, Keighley extended the lead through a try by Dan Snowden and a further Brown penalty before the visitors mounted a strong comeback with tries by Tom Wilson and Michael Briggs, converted by Akroyd to reduce Keighley’s lead to two points.
A late Brown penalty goal finally sealed the issue for Keighley in a tense finale.
