PARENTS at Eastburn Junior & Infant School have been learning how to keep their children safe online.

They attended an awareness-raising workshop, at which police community support officer Izac Spencer outlined precautions that can be taken to protect youngsters.

He provided information about the internet and gave parents links to several useful websites.

"It was fantastic to see a number of parents attend," said a school spokesman.

"Over the course of the year, PSCO Spencer will be working closely with children in classes three to six to raise their understanding of how to keep safe online."

Further sessions for parents are also planned.
