A BUMPER donation is music to the ears of Manorlands.

Keighley-based Davidson Site Services raised £2,140 for the Sue Ryder hospice through supporting Silsden's Proms on the Farm.

The Ascot Street company normally backs Manorlands by sponsoring and attending the annual Bronte Vintage Gathering harness racing, but the event was cancelled this year.

"This was the first time we had attended the Proms on the Farm and we were very impressed with what the team of volunteers put on," said the firm's owner, Paul Davidson.

"It's a great event through which we can channel our support for the brilliant cause that is Manorlands and we'll be hoping to do it again next year."

A cheque has been presented to Manorlands senior fundraiser, Andrew Wood.

"I'd like to thank Paul for his continued support and all his clients and friends who so generously helped back our vital care through participation and sponsorship," he said.
