A KEIGHLEY Cub Scout has seen her badge design transformed into reality.
Ashlie Mchale, of the 19th Keighley (Ingrow) pack, created on paper a crime prevention badge for a special event.
And her drawing was chosen as the winner.
The badge was presented to the first 100 Cubs who completed crime-busting activities as part of a festival of social science.
West Yorkshire Police, the University of Huddersfield and Cub packs teamed-up for the initiative.
The festival was organised by the Economic and Social Research Council.
Dr Leanne Monchuk, of the university's applied criminology centre, said: "Crime prevention is one of the main areas of research interest here.
"It's been fantastic to work in collaboration with the police and West Yorkshire Scouts to develop a programme of activity that's fun, interactive and helps to educate and empower young people about the importance of implementing basic crime-prevention measures."
Cubs from across the region took part in the venture.
Activities included making posters and completing jigsaws featuring an insecure home.
