BRITAIN’S lewdest, crudest and boldest comedian will perform in Keighley on Thursday, December 8 as part of his 40th anniversary tour.

The popular stand-up comic, famed for his blue jokes and flying helmet, is at the Octagon club in Bradford Road, Sandbeds, from 7pm.

A firm advocate of no holds barred in comedy, Teesside-based Brown remains one of the UK’s most iconic, boundary-pushing comedians: testing the taboo and flirting with the forbidden.

Best-known for his risqué humour and patchwork clown suit, the Yorkshire-born comedian is renowned for his old-school cheekiness and irreverent observations.

Brown has made more than 1,000 live appearances and performed in front of 1.5 million fans in a stand-up career spanning four decades.

Since his first solo performance in 1976, Brown has remained one of the nation’s most recognisable comedians.

Equipped with his trademark flying helmet, pilot goggles and vivid tailoring, he sees himself as an “old school comic” with a performance that includes music-hall singing and dance routines.

The Octagon will host a Christmas jive night party with live band Jump Jive & Wail, on Wednesday, December 14.

A comedy night on December 28 will be headlined by Peter Kay tribute act Lee Lard and Keighley-born comedy hypnotist Dave Rawson, on December 28.

Colin Paul will perform his tribute to Billy Fury, with support from covers singer Little Miss 60s, on December 29.

Fleetwood Mac tribute band Dreams will perform the real band’s greatest hits on December 30.

Covers band The Takers will perform a party night on New Year’s Eve.
