SANTA gave his reindeer a rest when he visited a Haworth Christmas fair.

He arrived at the event – staged by Haworth Riding for the Disabled (RDA) – in a pony and trap, driven by elf Kitty.

Santa's grotto was among a range of attractions at the annual fair, at the group's Vale Mill Lane stables.

There were arts and crafts stalls and items for sale made by young riders and volunteers.

Visitors could also enjoy pony rides.

The event raised £964 towards the cost of feeding the ponies this winter.

Jane Lawrence, for Haworth RDA, said: "A great afternoon was had by all.

"We would like to thank all the riders, volunteers and members of the local community who gave their support."
