KEIGHLEY social housing group Incommunities has won recognition for its commitment to caring for the environment.
It has received a silver accreditation following an assessment by Sustainable Homes Index for Tomorrow (SHIFT).
The independent scheme, backed by the Government's Homes and Communities Agency, measures the environmental performance of housing providers across the country.
More than 50 criteria are assessed, from the energy efficiency of homes to office emissions.
Incommunities said it was delighted with the result of the assessment, its first ever.
Assistant chief executive (asset management), Jez Lester, added: "We are extremely proud to have achieved the silver SHIFT award.
"Our newly-formed sustainability team, led by Alison Ingleby, is looking forward to building on this success and helping deliver environmentally-friendly homes our customers can enjoy."
