A KEIGHLEY fitness centre worker has won a place in the national finals of a bodybuilding competition.
Bracken Bank man Danny Gott, 25, from NRGym in Worth Way, will travel to the seaside resort of Southport next May for the contest.
Danny’s route to success began in Castleford in October when he competed in his first bodybuilding show.
Nick Hindle, one of the owners of NRGym and Danny’s prep coach, said Danny defeated a tough line-up of 12 athletes.
Nick said: “He competed again four weeks later at a much bigger show, the NABBA UK, and again from a very tough line-up he took third which meant automatic qualification for the British finals.
“Danny has approached the whole process with 100 per cent professionalism and dedication.”
In recent weeks, one NRGym member competed in the Miss Universe contest, the UK’s biggest bodybuilding show, and came third.
Another female member competed in the North West Powerlifting Nationals and won her category.
