THE RIVER Aire continues to provide excellent opportunities for Keighley Angling Club members.

Two tested the waters at Kildwick and landed a selection of trout, chub and grayling tempted by a combination of maggot and worm.

There have been several reports of grayling shoals at a number of quick water swims along the river.

Bream continue to be the main sport along the canal, with small shoals of skimmers taking up positions in swims alongside wooded areas between Riddlesden and Bradley.

Meanwhile, the Keighley club is pushing forward with plans to build a stile to improve access at Utley by the bridge at Keighley golf course following the installation of fencing and a new gate. All anglers and other walkers are urged to use the gate when approaching the riverside.

Club membership books have been prepared in time for Christmas and are now on sale. Contact the local tackle shop or secretary Dennis Freeman for more information.
