FREE Lego workshops for under-fives are being staged in Keighley.

Sessions begin at the library, in North Street, on Monday, February 6, from 10.30am.

Each of the six workshops will have a different theme and will also feature singing and play.

They will be led by Keith Moran, from Bricks4Kidz, an educational play programme which uses Lego.

Building-themed and Lego books will be on display and available to borrow.

Children who attend and borrow a book will receive double stamps on their Bookstart Bear Club passport, which gives youngsters incentives encouraging them to read.

The sessions are being staged by Bradford Libraries, following the success of a similar venture last year.

Councillor Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council's executive member for environment, sport and culture, said: "The previous Lego sessions were a great success.

"They allow children to be creative, develop concentration and encourage them to take an interest in books."
