LIVERSEDGE Reserves faced Lancashire League leaders Bradford RIASA at Clayborn and suffered a 5-3 defeat.
RIASA took an early lead after only six minutes but Warren Redford equalised 16 minutes later.
The leaders showed clinical finishing by racing into a 4-1 half-time lead, and five minutes after the re-start they scored again.
Louis Andre bundled the ball over the line for Sedge, who then saw Ben Sadler's headed goal disallowed for offside.
Redford scored his second goal of the match but Sedge ran out of time.
Liversedge secretary John Hewitt said: "It was a great game played in freezing conditions."
