A LARGE section of North Street in Keighley was closed today as work continued on demolishing the former college building.

Teams moved in at about 8am to begin the latest stage of bulldozing the four-storey structure.

North Street was closed to traffic from the roundabout at its junction with High Street to its junction with Alice Street.

The top end of Cavendish Street and parts of Lord Street, Russell Street, Devonshire Street and Albert Street were also shut.

The closures were lifted at about 4pm.
