SOUTH Asian music workshops are being staged in Keighley.
The free sessions will provide an insight into the different styles of music.
Leading the workshops is Champak Kumar, the man behind Bradford Mela.
And they are being organised by community group Asian Virsa, which brings together people from different ethnic and religious backgrounds for cultural activities.
Executive director, Dr Harjap Singh Pooni, said: "Champak's enthusiasm is infectious so we are delighted that he has agreed to deliver our workshops and demonstrate traditional instruments.
"As the founder of Oriental Arts, he has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry and even organised a Bhangra performance for the Queen.
"These workshops are a great opportunity to learn more about the diverse cultural heritage of the Indian subcontinent – whether you are discovering it for the first time or simply want to deepen your understanding."
The Keighley sessions are at the Sangat Centre, Marlborough Street, on March 6 and 8, from 10am to noon.
Workshops are also taking place in Bradford.
