A DRIVER who did not look old enough to be at the wheel fled when challenged by police in Keighley.
Reporting the incident earlier today, a spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said the male youth driving the Vauxhall Corsa had been spotted by Keighley police officers.
He added: "Following a request for the vehicle to stop the driver pulled to the side of Ingrow Lane, and ran from the vehicle leaving it without the handbrake on and in a dangerous position.
"Enquiries quickly allowed the officers to identify the youth, who was interviewed and reported to appear in the courts. The vehicle was also taken off the road."
Responding to a member of the public's comment on the police's Facebook page that the car was probably older than the driver, the police spokesman said this was "correct".
