A KEIGHLEY organisation is staging a workshop to help combat stress and mental health issues in schools.

Evolve is holding the free event, for teachers and other professionals working with children, at Dixons Trinity Academy in Bradford on Wednesday, March 8.

Participants will hear about strategies to improve the health and wellbeing of pupils and colleagues.

Speakers will be Nina Jackson, of Independent Thinking Ltd, and Dr Andres Fonseca and Simon Jay, both from Thrive, which creates digital tools to help tackle mental health.

Graham Morgan – chairman of Alice Street-based Evolve, which supplies health mentors to schools – said: "We are committing resources to promoting the health and wellbeing of both teachers and their pupils to tackle a rise in mental health concerns.

"We're offering schools practical and tangible solutions to the mental health challenges currently facing an alarming number of children under their care.

"And it will show how we at Evolve are having a positive impact in schools.

"This is a unique opportunity to hear and learn from our speakers, who are inspirational industry leaders."
